Man kann wohl davon ausgehen, dass Samsung bei der Vorstellung des Note 4 wohl eher auf neue Softwarefeatures und neues Zubehör eingehen wird. Von Jahr zu Jahr hat man immer weniger auf die eigentliche Hardware gezielt und ging zu den Fakten über, die einen selber über die Konkurrenz stellt. Laut SamMobile wird man aber zum Note 4 aber ein wohl eher ungewöhnliches Zubehör anbieten.
Die Rede ist hier von einem Ultraschall „Cover“. Das klingt ziemlich merkwürdig, liegt aber wohl daran, dass solch ein Zubehör noch ziemlich selten ist. Tatsächlich gibt es solch ein Cover schon von Samsung, und zwar für das Galaxy Core Advance. Und obwohl es sich hierbei um zwei ziemlich verschiedene Geräte handelt, stimmen die Beschreibungen ziemlich überein. So soll das Cover Sehbehinderte per Ton- oder Vibrationsfeedback vor Hindernissen, die sich vor der Person befinden, warnen. Beim Note 4 soll man hier zwischen drei verschiedenen Entfernungsmodi wählen können: kurz, mittel, lang.
Nimmt man letzteres reicht der Scann zwar am weitesten nach vorne, scannt aber nur einen sehr schmalen Raum. Dementsprechend wird, wenn man „kurz“ auswählt, ein breiterer Raum gescannt.
Die genaue Beschreibung des Accessoires lautet wie folgt:
“The Product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. This Product is a non-medical device.
It cannot replace a cane and should never be used as a mobility aid or substitute for any mobility aid tool. It must always be used in combination with a cane, a dog guide, or a human guide because, by itself, it does not provide information necessary for safe travel.
We strongly recommend you to educate yourself fully and abide by the operating procedures of this manual before your first use. Furthermore, we encourage you to train yourself with how to use the Product and be sure to have fully understood how the Product works correctly. While using the Product in training, it is strongly recommended that you work with a sighted friend who can give you visual feedback, particularly when you work with more advanced skills.
The Product does not detect drop-offs. When doing exercises that require hand scanning, make sure that you use an area without steps or drop-offs, and without car or pedestrian traffic.
The Product does not provide the scope and detail of information obtained through vision and the coverage area/range may vary due to circumstances.
Users should always remove headphones from their ears when approaching and crossing intersections or when walking through areas that include business driveways, parking lots, or alleyswhere traffic might cross the path of travel.

Macht doch kein Sinn ,wenn ich blind bin kauf ich mir doch kein Note 4 mit extra großen Display und das dann nur als geh Hilfe zu nutzen.
