Mit dem Samsung Galaxy S7 und Galaxy S7 edge haben die Südkoreaner ihren Fehler, den sie beim Galaxy S6 und Co gemacht haben, eingesehen und wieder die Möglichkeit eingeführt, den internen Speicher via MicroSD zu erweitern.
Das habe ich mit meinem Galaxy S7 edge auch gemacht und das kann für 4k-Videos wirklich praktisch sein, allerdings gab es bis dato im Hause Samsung nur MicroSD-Karten mit bis zu 128GB. SanDisk etwa ist hier schon weiter und bietet eine MicroSD mit 200GB an (Partnerlink). Nun zieht Samsung nach und stellt eine MicroSD der Evo-Serie mit 256GB vor – allerdings zu einem Preis der sich gewaschen hat.
Die SanDisk 200GB MicroSD mit einer UVP von über 270 Euro ist inzwischen bei rund 80 Euro (Partnerlink, gleicher Preis für euch, kleine Provision für uns) auf Amazon angekommen. Samsungs UVP von 249 Dollar ist also grundsätzlich ähnlich, aber viel, viel zu spät für diesen Preis. Gut, die neue Samsung 256GB MicroSD ist mit 95MB/s Read und 90MB/s Write etwas schneller als die SanDisk MicroSD und dazu etwas größer, aber der Preisunterschied ist doch immens.

In einer früheren Version des Artikels stand folgender Satz: “ Zudem muss man bedenken, dass das Galaxy S7 edge etwa nur rund 13MB/s im Write zulässt, mehr gibt der Port nicht her.“ Dies stimmt nicht, es lag an einer fehlerhaften SD mit welcher das Ergebnis ermittelt wurde. Die Write-Speed des S7 liegt deutlich höher bei MicroSD-Karten.
